WASHINGTON – Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.) will not attend President Donald Trump’s State of the Union Address on Jan. 29, according to a spokesperson for the congressman.

“He has no plans to attend,” Blumenauer’s press secretary, Sean Ryan, told TMN in an email on Tuesday.

Blumenauer, an outspoken progressive who has served in Congress since in 1996, is one of 12 Democrats who boycotted Trump’s first State of the Union address last January. Blumenauer said last year that his time would be better spent working in Oregon rather than attending the president’s speech.
