WASHINGTON – The Ranking Member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), writes a letter to the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), calling for an “immediate postponement” of Thursday’s hearing to receive testimony from both Christine Blasey Ford and Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh after another woman, Deborah Ramirez, a Yale classmate of Kavanaugh’s, comes forward with new accusations of sexual misconduct.

Feinstein writes, “I also ask that the newest allegations of sexual misconduct be referred to the FBI for investigation, and that you join our request for the White House to direct the FBI to investigate the allegations of Christine Blasey Ford as well as these new claims.”

Grassley responds that, “Yet again, Senate Democrats actively withheld information from the rest of the Committee only to drop information at politically opportune moments.”

However, reports surfaced last week that Grassley and other Republicans in Congress and the White House were aware of “another Ronan Farrow bomb dropping” and that Ivanka Trump recommended to her father that he “cut bait” and dump Kavanaugh.
