CAPITOL HILL –The U.S. Marine Corps Band plays on Monday evening as the body of the 41st President of the United States, George Herbert Walker Bush is brought to the US Capitol. Today, the nation pays tribute to the life and legacy of the man with a State Funeral as the Federal Government closes in his honor.

At 10 a.m., his casket is to be carried down the East side steps of the Capitol to an awaiting hearse, which will lead him on a procession to his funeral service at National Cathedral.

Since Monday evening, he has lain in state in the Capitol Rotunda. The public has waited round-the-clock in long lines and in cold weather so as to pay tribute to him under the great dome.
