Obama’s order comes less than a month after he did the same in the aftermath of a mass shooting at an Orlando gay nightclub club that killed 49 people.

WASHINGTON (Talk Media News) – President Barack Obama ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff on Friday after a sniper attack in Dallas, Texas late Thursday killed five police officers and injured seven others amid a street protest against police violence.

The order extends to all public buildings and grounds until Tuesday to memorialize the victims of Thursday night’s shooting.

In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, Obama said that he was “horrified” over the incident, adding that “anyone involved in these senseless murders will be held fully accountable.”

Three suspects are in custody while a fourth was killed during a standoff with police, authorities said.
