WASHINGTON (Talk Media News) – President Barack Obama is expected to unveil steps the administration will take to curb gun violence during a speech from the White House’s East Room on Tuesday.
The executive orders will likely include broadening ATF regulations to ensure that certain gun dealers who sell firearms online or at gun shows provide background checks.
According to the White House, “the President will be joined at the event by the Vice President, stakeholders, and individuals whose lives have been impacted by the gun violence epidemic.”
Obama will participate in a town hall on reducing gun violence on Thursday. The event will be televised by CNN and hosted by Anderson Cooper.
