WASHINGTON – Half of U.S. voters approve of President Donald Trump’s job performance, according to a poll released Wednesday.

The Rasmussen Daily Presidential Tracking poll found that 50 percent of the respondents said Trump is doing a good job and 48 percent said he is not doing a good job.

Meanwhile, 35 percent said they strongly approve of the president’s job performance and 40 percent said they strongly disapprove.

The sampling included 1,500 likely voters and has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.5 percentage points.

Wednesday’s poll results show Trump at highest approval rating for the month thus far, according to Rasmussen projections.

Trump has been in office for almost two years.

Barack Obama had a 46 percent approval rating at roughly the same point in his presidency, according to Gallup.
