WASHINGTON – Fewer than half of U.S. voters approve of President Donald Trump’s job performance, according to a poll released Friday.

The Rasmussen Reports Daily Presidential Tracking Poll found that 47% of the respondents said they think Trump is doing a good job and 51% said they do not think he is doing a good job.

Moreover, 34% said they strongly approve of Trump’s job performance and 42% said they strongly disapprove.

The survey included 1,500 likely voters and has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.5 percentage points.

Friday’s poll results are fairly consistent with Trump’s approval ratings for the month thus far, which according to Rasmussen projections has ranged from 46% to 50%.

A recent Gallup Poll showed Trump’s approval rating at 44%.

Barack Obama had a 46% approval rating at roughly the same point in his presidency, according to Gallup.
