House Judiciary Committee begins the markup process for the two articles of impeachment against President Trump. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) said in his opening statement that the White House's temporary withholding of military aid to Ukraine was an "urgent" threat to national security. Nadler continued that "We cannot rely on an election to solve our problems, when the president threatens the very integrity of that election." Trump has often claimed that he did nothing wrong and that the Democrats are merely seeking to overturn the 2016 election. December 11, 2019
