THE WHITE HOUSE – After President Donald Trump learned that, Shelby Pierson, a staffer of acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire, had reportedly briefed members of Congress that Russia is already interfering in the 2020 election, and has quote “developed a preference” for Trump, the President ostensibly replaced Maguire with a loyalist with limited Intelligence Community (IC) qualifications, US Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell.
As the President was departing to India on Sunday, Douglas Christian asked him about the implications of Maguire’s dismissal:
